Trains, passes and taxis in Tokyo, made simple for a first visit.

Tokyo runs on its trains. Pick up a rechargeable Suica or Pasmo IC card and simply tap in and out — it works on the JR lines, the metro and most buses. Ginza sits on several metro lines and is minutes from Tokyo and Yūrakuchō stations on the JR loop.

From the airports, the Narita Express or Keisei Skyliner (Narita) and the Keikyū line or Monorail (Haneda) all reach central Tokyo. Taxis are clean and reliable but pricier — handy late at night when the trains stop.
